This was a successful year for the Ford Motor Company. They added jobs, debuted the much-anticipated 2015 Mustang, and are expected to produce 6 million vehicles by year’s end. 2014 will be a growing year for Ford: Ford plans to push the envelope even further as the company continues to grow and provide customers with more of what they want.
For starters, 23 new Ford vehicles will be launched in the coming year.
“Next year, we are embarking on our most ambitious global launch year ever to meet customer demand for our products around the world,” said Raj Nair, Ford’s group vice president of global product development. “We are investing even more through our One Ford plan to serve more customers, in more segments – and deliver profitable growth.”
Ford also plans to open three new global plants in Asia and South America. In order to operate those plants, the company will add 6,000 new jobs in Asia. Additionally, Ford intends to add 5,00 jobs right here in the United States—including 3,300 salaried positions—raising the company’s job creation to more than 19,000 in three years.
