We’re in the midst of the Staunton Music Festival! The festival started on August 14th and will continue until the 23rd, so you’ve still got plenty of time to make it out for some fantastic music, educational lectures, and hands-on workshops. Individual concerts and events will be held at multiple locations, including the Trinity Episcopal Church and Mary Baldwin College, so make sure to check the event schedule.
Nearly 30 concerts will be held over the course of the 10-day festival, with a free concert every day at noon and ticketed concerts in the evenings. The concerts will feature traditional music from Vivaldi, Bach, and many more, as well as music from today’s composers.
The festival will focus on a huge array of genres and topics, integrating other fine arts like dancing and literature. Ranging from the 1700s to modern instrumental music and giving focus to instruments as well as composers, the Staunton Music Festival is a true celebration of traditional music. Don’t miss out! And while you’re in town, come and see us here at Paul Obaugh Ford!
