Buzzard Rock

If you want an easy hike that will reward with an amazing view, this is it. This four-mile hike starts an hour and a half north of Staunton at the northern end of Shenandoah National Park and ends at Buzzard Rock where you’ll see some incredible perspectives of the nearby foliage.

 

Signal Knob

If you’re up for more of a challenge, the five-mile Signal Knob hike can deliver. You’ll have to climb some steep, tricky terrains, but in the end you’ll find yourself with an incredible view 2,000 feet above sea level. Signal Knob is also a great spot for history buffs because of its use as a lookout for Confederate officers during the Civil War.
