Here at Paul Obaugh Ford, we pride ourselves on our association with the Ford brand name, and the automaker has given us yet another reason to be proud. Ford recently announced that it will be adding 350 new jobs at its Kentucky Truck Plant, continuing its commitment to create jobs here within the United States to benefit hard-working Americans. This is part of a new $80 million investment in the plant.
The Kentucky Truck Plant currently produces the Super Duty Ford trucks, which include the F-250 through F-550. It also churns out the Expedition and Lincoln Navigator. Ford’s investment will increase the plant’s production capability by about 55,000 more Super Duty trucks a year – a boost of 15 percent over the previous total.
“This is a sizable leap forward in capacity,” said Joe Hinrichs, Ford’s president of the Americas, in a statement. “This is really a testament to the underlying strength of the U.S. economy and demand for our industry-leading F-Series trucks.”
Ford has already hired the 350 new employees, which were selected from a pool of temporary workers who helped the plant maintain production during summer vacations. They will all be on the job by April 1 with an entry-level salary of $15.78 per hour.
Join with us in congratulating our Kentucky neighbors on their new Ford jobs! We look forward to seeing even more American-made Ford trucks on the road thanks to this worthy investment.
