Bill Ford, the direct descendant of the historic Henry Ford, and current Executive Chairman of Ford, went to an auction in October. At this auction was the oldest known production Ford vehicle still in existence. This car is the 1903 Model A. Bill made sure that the Ford Model A became his, so he could return the car to the Ford name. Why now? Well this upcoming summer on July 30th, 2013 will mark the 150th birthday of legend Henry Ford.
“The timing was perfect to bring this key part of Ford heritage back to the family as we celebrate the 150th anniversary of my great-grandfather’s birth and his vision to improve people’s lives by making cars affordable for the average family,” said Bill Ford.
This monumental vehicle is the one that helped start it all. the best part is that it is still in great condition. To see the 1903 Model A check out this gallery.
