The Ford Fiesta ST which made its redesign debut yesterday at the the 2012 Paris Motor Show, has officially been spotted high in the mountains of Colorado. Now this doesn’t necessarily mean that the five-door, six speed manual hatchback is destined for the US, but its a good sign.
It was first teased at the Los Angeles Auto Show last year, and this year a three-door and five-door version has been unveiled in the European market. But Ford still rides that no decision has been made on making a version of the Ford Fiesta ST for the US.
The European version of the Ford Fiesta ST gets 177 HP and a heart pounding 177 Ft-Lb of Torque from its 1.6 Liter EcoBoost Four Cylinder engine. This tuned up Fiesta has many people raving, and Ford would likely raise in overall Fiesta sales due to the ST release, as it recently did with the Ford Focus ST. That being said we still only have our hope to hold on to for now.
