We at Paul Obaugh Ford recognize the undeniable importance of both agriculture and a college education. Generally, those two things do not fit together, but when it comes to the Built Ford Tough-FFA Scholarship they are a perfect match.
The Built Ford Tough-FFA Scholarship is designed to recognize a high school member of the FFA (formerly known as the Future Farmers of America) for his/her talents and accomplishments while encouraging future achievements in higher education. Each year, we award one standout FFA member with a $1,000 scholarship.
This year, the Built Ford Tough-FFA Scholarship is awarded to Abigail Cromer. Cromer is a 2013 graduate of Buffalo Gap High School and was an active member of the FFA. Cromer plans to use the scholarship to help her in attending Bridgewater College here in Virginia.
The scholarship awarded to Cromer is one of 530 given to high school senior FFA members who plan to attend college by the Ford Motor Company Fund this year. In total, the partnership with the FFA has awarded more than $7,645,000 in scholarships to 7,645 FFA members.
