In a recent head-to-head test, done by PickupTrucks.com, the 2017 Ford Super Duty was evaluated alongside Chevrolet, Nissan, and Ram’s heavy-duty truck options. At the end of the test, the Super Duty came out as the ultimate champion.
The Three-Quarter Ton Work Truck Challenge included a series of tests done at the Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in Chandler, Arizona. For the tests, PickupTrucks.com used a 2017 F-250 Super Duty XL 4×2. The Super Duty outpaced the competition in quarter-mile acceleration, 0-60 mph speed, 60-0 braking, measured fuel economy, and maximum horsepower.
Along with out-performing the other trucks, the testers also noted, “Super Duty’s striking interior layout and quality materials, its numerous large and small storage spaces, top-notch acceleration and braking feel, more bed tie-downs and lighting features than the others.”
This award is just the latest in a string of accolades for the all-new Super Duty. It was also named Motor Trend “2017 Truck of the Year” and earned top marks at the Texas Truck Rodeo held by the Texas Auto Writers Association.
